Davis Pride Guide 2019

May 9, 2019

It’s on! Pride Season is Upon Us!

And the first festival for us is Davis Pride (May 19, 2019) which will feature Xavier Toscano as the headliner, along with some other great entertainment. The festival is free and starts at 10 a.m. Be sure to check out the special Amtrak Davis Pride Party Train, it’s a fun, safe way to get to Davis and bring your friends as well. For more information on Davis Pride, check out pages 16-18 of this new issue of Outword!

While Davis Pride is fun and exciting, it’s not the only thing you will find in the new issue. Be sure to look for: Four New Airlines at SMF, “Sacramento Arts in Jeopardy,” Silver Oak winery, “Out & About with Matt” and a revitalized gay men’s group is ready for summer.

Chris Narloch tells of shows at the Harris Center, Verge Center for the Arts and “Aladdin” hitting the stage as well as the big screen. He also writes about the Jonas Brothers (coming to Sacramento) and a couple of movies he really enjoyed that you can see now, instead of waiting in line to see “Avengers.”

We have also included some great photos from the Big Day of Giving Drag Queen Bingo that reunited Rusty, Felicity and DoMe Moore. Those images, thanks to Joan Cusick, can be found on page 25.

Of course all of this can be found either in the paper version or in one of our Free electronic versions. To check out the E version, just click over to the Outword web site, Facebook page or ISSUU portal.

We hope you enjoy this issue, and look forward to seeing you all at Davis Pride two Sundays from now.
