Don’t Miss Ingmar Bergman’s ‘Persona’ At Crocker

By Chris Narloch

Crocker Museum’s Foreign Fall Film Series concludes this Thursday evening with “Persona,” one of the most famous movies directed by the late, great Swedish director Ingmar Bergman.

This modern classic from 1966, shown in Swedish with English subtitles, stars Liv Ulmann and Bibi Andersson as a troubled actress and her nurse, who develop an intense bond during their stay at a beautiful seaside cottage. Considered by many critics to be a cinematic masterpiece, “Persona” is an enigmatic drama with haunting performances, exquisite cinematography, and masterful direction.

“Persona” will be shown one night only, this Thursday, Dec. 7, at 6:30 p.m. with an introduction by a local film expert. For more information, please visit
