Food, Beverage, Nightlife. On newsstands now.
With summer winding down, it is nice to settle down on a cool fall evening and enjoy the soothing properties of a well-made cocktail, followed by a good meal. Our 16th Annual Food, Beverage, Nightlife issue is all about that. Whether you dine at home, or at one of the many gay-friendly restaurants here in town, the important thing is to take the time to notice some of life’s simpler things.
So with our cover, Ron Tackitt pays homage to the martini. Dirty, Vodka martini. Inside, he tells you just how to create your very own, and have it turn out “just right!” The fabulous and amazing Cheese Monger over at Taylor’s Market, Felicia, sings the praises of cheese made right here in the good ‘ol U.S. of A. Ms. Temptress Culley takes a break from hosting Hush to jot down one of her own homemade favorite chicken dishes. Delicious, yet quick and easy. Perfect for the woman on the go!
Inside you will also find the Outword exclusive interview with local assault victim, Gary Silvey, as he opens up to Charles Peer. There is a story about even more delays to the release of the Prop 8 trials video. (Really makes you wonder what they are trying, desperately, to hide, huh?) Moving through the issue, Doogie Howser (Neil Patrick Harris) gets a star on the Hollywood walk of fame, Fred Palmer is awarded “Business Leader of the Year” by the Rainbow Chamber of Commerce, and that is just scraping the surface.
However, this is starting to become too long to hold your attention, so suffice to say, the new issue of Outword is now on stands, online and available for your iPad. Pick up a copy and enjoy.
